Aratipandu Chips Vepudu recipe

Aratipandu Chips Vepudu/Banana chips fry is a good source of vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin K and an excellent source of vitamin E.HINT: Do not consume it in excess amounts as it contains high sodium and saturated fat.

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Serves: 3 persons

Ingredients
Banana raw
250 Grams
Turmeric powder
1 Tea Spoon
Rice bran oil
50 Milliliter
Salt
1 Tea Spoon
Red chilli powder
1 Tea Spoon
Instructions

Slice the banana
Peel the banana, slice it and put the slices into a solution of water, salt, turmeric and wait for 5 minutes. Give it a good mix and transfer to a colander to drain completely.

Add spices
Add red chilli powder and salt to banana slices and mix well.

Fry the slices
In a medium-sized Kadai on high heat, heat the oil. When it starts smoking, add the slices in small batches. Fry until golden and transfer onto a paper napkin. Repeat with the rest of the slices. Sprinkle with salt and chili powder and let it cool. Store in an air-tight container for up to a week.
