Vengayam Roti recipe

Vengayam Roti/Onion roti is a good source of manganese, lutein, and an excellent source of selenium, vitamin D. It helps strengthen bones and control blood sugar levels.

Serves: 13 persons

Ingredients
Whole wheat flour
300 Grams
Chillies green - all varieties
10 Grams
Coriander leaves
20 Grams
Ginger fresh
5 Grams
Onion big
100 Grams
Rice bran oil
2 Tea Spoon
Salt
1 Grams
Water
100 Milliliter
Instructions

Washing and chopping
Wash and clean the onion, coriander, and green chilies. Chop them and keep them aside, grate the ginger.

Dough preparation
In a deep mixing bowl add the chopped onions followed by ginger, green chilies, coriander, salt, wholemeal flour, and oil. Mix the ingredients well and knead it into a smooth dough using water

Roll out the dough
Separate the dough into equal portions. Roll them into balls and then using a rolling pin, flatten them into a flatbread.

Cooking and serving
Now, put a griddle on medium flame. Put the prepared chapati. Pan-fry the chapati until they get a golden brown shade. Serve fresh and hot
