Cabbage Pattani curry recipe

Cabbage Pattani curry is a tasty and healthy recipe rich in vitamin C,calcium and fiber.These key nutrients aids in weight loss, helps in building immunity and maintains bone health.

Ingredients
Green peas raw
100 Grams
Green cabbage
200 Grams
Tomato ripe local
50 Grams
Coriander leaves
15 Grams
Onion big
50 Grams
Cumin seeds
1 Tea Spoon
Turmeric powder
0.25 Tea Spoon
Rice bran oil
1 Table Spoon
Salt
0.5 Tea Spoon
Water
50 Milliliter
Ginger garlic paste
1 Tea Spoon
Garam masala powder
0.5 Tea Spoon
Red chilli powder
0.5 Tea Spoon
Coriander powder
0.5 Tea Spoon
Instructions

Wash and chop the veggies
Rinse the cabbage first. Then shred the cabbage with a knife or in a food processor. Rinse the peas and keep them aside. Finely chop the onions and tomatoes.

Add spices
Heat oil in a frying pan or Kadai. Splutter cumin first. Then add ginger-garlic paste. Stir and saute till their raw aroma goes away. Add chopped onions and saute till they become translucent.

Add tomatoes
Add tomatoes. Stir and then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Stir and saute till you see oil releasing from the sides of the mixture.

Add cabbage
Add the shredded or chopped cabbage. Add green peas. Stir very well and season with salt. Stir again and cover the pan with a rimmed lid filled with water.

Cook the peas
Cover and continue to cook till the peas are softened. If the water dries up in the rimmed lid, then add some more water.

Simmmer
Once the peas are cooked, if there is any moisture in the pan, then simmer the veggies on a low flame till all the moisture is a bit dried up. Lastly, add garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.

Serve hot
Serve cabbage matar with chapatis or phulkas.
