Lentil curry recipe

Lentil curry is a good source of protein, potassium, vitamin C, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, manganese, thiamin, vitamin B5, vitamin E, and an excellent source of dietary fiber, copper, selenium, and vitamin D. It helps in lowering blood pressure and reduces muscle cramps.

Lenti dal
100 Grams
Tomato ripe local
50 Grams
Coriander leaves
25 Grams
Curry leaves
15 Grams
Onion small
50 Grams
Turmeric powder
0.5 Tea Spoon
Rice bran oil
1 Table Spoon
Salt
0.5 Tea Spoon
Water
50 Milliliter
Garam masala powder
0.5 Tea Spoon
Red chilli powder
0.5 Grams
Coriander powder
1 Tea Spoon
Instructions

Wash the dal
Wash the lentil dal thoroughly with water, drain the water and keep it aside.

Add the spices
In a vessel heat oil, add curry leaves and onions, tomatoes, and stir well until the tomatoes turn soft. Now add all the spices and mix well.

Cook the rice
Add the washed and drained lentil dal to the spices, mix well on a low flame. Now add water and cook it for 10 minutes by covering it with a lid. Once the dal turns soft garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rotis or steamed rice.
